With the bruise of last season’s state loss to Center Grove in the girl’s tennis doubles, MIa Toscos is ready to make a redemptive season and come back to state not just with her partner  Lauren VanWyngarden, but with her whole team and make it to at lease semi-finals. She as well hopes to bring her partner Lauren and herself back to the state finals and winning.

“Obviously that will be really challenging but we are hoping if we work hard enough it will at least be a realistic goal,” said Mia Toscos.

But Mia’s favorite part of being on the team is that everyone loves the sport and the fact that since the program a Carroll is so successful, she feels driven to give her 110 percent the whole season. The start of the season can be rough though.

“It is always a little tense at first when everyone is still finding out their spot on the team, varsity versus junior varsity, and who makes the sectionals team, but eventually that passes over,” said Mia Toscos.

Kyle Stoffel the girl’s tennis coach is as well ready for another successful season. His main goal for the upcoming season is simply to bring his girls to state and win.

Senior captain Sydney Jackson is as well ready to get the season in gear. Since it is her senior year playing she is sad but she is ready to take her and her fellow teammates to state.

“We have always supported and helped each other through the ups and downs throughout the year,” said Sydney Jackson.

With all eyes on the Carroll girls tennis team, we will be watching to see if they make it back to state and bring the title home.
