The return of Assassin’s Creed brings a new character to the spotlight with Assassins Creed Mirage
A action adventure game released on October 5, 2023 follows the story of a man named Basim. His story follows him as he tries to free his city from a group of mercenary rulers and as he also tries to unlock the truth of his origins.
The gameplay brings Assassins Creed back to its roots as it follows the mechanics of most of the original games which for fans of the franchise is one of the greatest things about this game.
An great thing about this game is the parkour. This is the roots to Assassins Creed but with the original mechanics to assassinations it makes the game feel so smooth and nice.
The graphics for this game are excellent. From the scenery of the deep desert to looking up at the stars at night the small little details make the game look so much better.
The game has so much depth in it it feels so nice. Just walking around in one of the towns and looking at all the detail put into makes the game feel so immersive.
Another part of the game is the sound, there is so much thought put in the sound. If you are walking through the desert you will be able to hear the sand blow in the wind or walking through towns and listening to the city noises.
This small little detail along with the others adds so much to the aesthetic of this game making it feel nicer to stop and look around.
Unfortunately the game does not add any new items for a second play through but it does add a post game quest allowing the player to unlock an cool cosmetic but other than that, the new game does not add anything.
Compared to the other Assassins Creed games this is the best. One of the criticisms of the other ones is that it’s easy to get overwhelmed with the size of the maps and how easy it is to get distracted.
This game fixes those by having a smaller map and leading the player along the story while still giving the player to choose what they want to do and giving them freedoms.
Assassins Creed Mirage is a good game and the creators make it easy for beginners to learn how to play. It is definitely worth its price although it is a generally short game. Their deficiency doesn’t leave anything out of the story making it a great game.
