In the Freshman cafeteria, one of the most beloved figures is Michael Charles, a lunch server who has become famous for his infectious energy and love for music.

 “My favorite song? I love Ariana Grande,” said Charles. 

His passion for music is evident, and it’s clear that music holds a special place in his heart. The upbeat and positive vibes of her music perfectly match Michael’s own personality, making it a perfect choice to lift the spirits of students during their lunch break.

“I figured the students deserved to listen to music, not just the lunch servers,” said Charles. 

His selflessness to take the student’s interests into consideration shows his character and how much he values the students. When it comes to dancing, Charles is not shy. 

“I like the dance ‘Hit the Quan,’” said Charles. 

It’s clear that dancing is a big part of his routine, and he enjoys sharing that joy with the students. His energetic dance moves often inspire students to join in, creating a sense of camaraderie and community in the cafeteria.

Charles likes the benefits of working in the lunch line and one of them is having the pleasure of helping kids.

“Serving students every day is always a memorable moment,” he said.

“Michael is amazing! His music and dancing always make lunch more fun,” said freshman Aliyah Miller.
