“I constantly tell people to put themselves out there and be yourself, but I know it’s hard. When my best friend moved away the summer after my freshman year, I was very scared. I didn’t think I would have enough friends. So, joining the swim team helped me get out of my shell and make a lot of new friends. This year at the start of swim season I really tried to put myself out there and I ended up getting closer to a lot of people on the swim team. It was definitely a challenge, but stay true to yourself and people will like you for you. Friendships come naturally after that.”
