Cross Country races to meet high expectations
Cross Country team always has high expectations, and this year is no exception.
The team has most of their state qualifying team from last season, and they look to push to make a run for state this season.
The Chargers had their first meet at Snider, and they did extremely well. The JV and Varsity both finished second.
As the team progresses, they look to build a better community around them.
“The community we are building [is incredible],” said Junior Jacob Kieffer, “the team is becoming a family, and it’s all thanks to the seniors.”
While the team is looking forward to trying to get back to where they were last year, Kieffer says it’s all about the effort to get to that spot.
“Everyone must be willing to push themselves to the limit to be back there,” Kieffer said, “That’s the only way.”
Check out the Chargers back in action on September 4 at Marion High School.
