Carroll High School Show Choirs kicks into full swing this weekend after working behind the scenes since August of this year.

Both Select Sound and Minstrel Magic are making their way to Portland, Indiana to compete in the Jay County Show Choir Spectacular with predictions from Showchoirs.com for Minstrel to take home the championship title, as well as best vocals.

They will also fulfill the tradition of keeping the shows a secret till the first performance of the season to instill that “wow” factor into the show choir community with their preview tonight being their first reveal.

Junior member of Minstrel Magic, Hanna Fox, comments on her excitement for the upcoming start of the season, “I’m really excited to see it all come together,” Fox stated, “I think we will place pretty good this weekend.”

Choir director, Jill Jeran, is also optimistic for the season and excited for what the groups will put together on stage. “I’m excited to get back to normal,” said Jeran, “I can’t wait to have an audience compared to last year.”

Support for Carroll show choirs starts tonight (Friday) in the large auditorium at 7 p.m with a $6 fee at the door. Both choirs are ready for the season and are finally ready to leave it all out on the stage.
