In case you haven’t heard yet, Netflix’s original series Stranger Things is coming out with its second season this Friday, and people are starting to get very excited about it.

On July 15 of 2016, a tremor shook the US as the public began Netflix’s newest original series, Stranger Things. The series involved eight hour-long episodes, set in the 1980’s and centered around a fictional town in Indiana called Hawkins. A boy in the town, Will Byers, goes missing, and his three best friends as well as his mother begin searching for him, enlisting the help of the town police department. After some investigation, the police department decides  to give up the search; however, the town sheriff, Jim Hopper, decides to continue helping Will’s mother in the search for him. The more they search and the deeper they dig, the more unsettling and supernatural information the group find about their town and the people in it, especially involving a new young girl in the town who claims that her name is Eleven.

Upon the immense positive ratings the show received, Netflix announced on August 31 of the same year that they were renewing the series for a second season of nine episodes. This second season will be premiering on Friday, October 27, and anticipation for the second series has been building immensely in the last few weeks.

More information will be available on the public’s reaction to season two after the premiere this weekend on Friday night.
