With construction at Carroll well underway there is no better time to look at the other construction projects coming to our district.
Approved along with the high school expansion for a total of 178 million, a new administrative building and another middle school are soon coming to NACS.
Starting with the administrative building it is anticipated to be approximately 30 million dollars, and is being built near Maple Creek Middle School.
“It’s going to be a great facility to have professional development for teachers and meeting space,” said Assistant Superintendent Brandon Bitting.
Administrative meetings currently take place in Perry Hill Elementary, and this project will help create more space for the school.
“We’re going to vacate that space and they’re going to gain 4 more classrooms,” said Bitting.
This project is set to finish in the summer of 2025.
Following this, the new Willow Creek middle school will open in the fall of 2026. Approximately 90 million dollars will be allocated to this building.
“The new middle school project will allow us to ease overcrowding of our two current middle schools that have exceeded their capacities for student enrollment,” said Superintendent Wayne Barker. “We believe this middle school configuration will serve our growing community for decades to come.”
Similarly to the high school construction, neither project will affect property tax in the area. All updates for these projects can be found here, and our story on the high school construction is here.
